The Plexus Way
|
|
Plexus is a meritocracy.
A meritocracy is a social system that values and rewards a person's knowledge, skills, achievement and contribution above other more traditional factors such as title, seniority, appearance, and cronyism. The system of meritocracy is deeply rooted in the philosophy of Individualism.
At Plexus, to whatever degree we can, we try to encourage and reward knowledge, skills and contribution. People are respected for what they can do.

|
Open Philosophy
At Plexus we strive to operate the company with a high degree of internal openness and transparency in order to create an environment in which all employees feel they are an important part of the organization. We want all employees to be informed and to participate in the decision making process. All employees should be involved in setting the company's direction, maintaining its progressive culture, making it a good place to work, and achieving its mission.
|
Dynamic Leadership
At Plexus we are organized into Departments, Teams, and small work groups so that we can work more efficiently.
Various managers and team leaders coordinate various activities. At any given time, depending on the need and the project, different people may be leading the effort and directing priorities.
In general, the person with the most knowledge, experience and management ability naturally takes a leadership role.
In other cases, a less experienced person takes a leadership role for a while. In still other cases, the "leadership" may not come from the expert, but the person who has the desire and aptitude to delegate, follow-up, and document. Plexus leadership is a dynamic thing, with different leaders arising from within the company to meet different challenges. Leadership and authority is seldom a formally assigned responsibility.
