It’s no secret we’re proud to support our Metro Detroit neighbors through Plex Giving…but here’s what you might not know: it’s actually really fun, too.
This morning, we hosted a charity breakfast to benefit this year’s Plex Giving charity, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan. Two Plex Systems guest chefs – Mike Hart and Taya Johnson – cooked up pancakes and French toast along with bacon, sausage and fresh fruit, along with two homemade treats: fresh whipped cream made by Kristen Vanpoelvoorde as well as ”Mick’s potatoes” (cheesy potatoes) and wings served up by Mick McDonald.
Continuing our efforts to grant even more wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions, we also began selling raffle tickets for a $1,000 VISA gift card … Stay tuned to find out who won!
Thanks to our colleagues, this tasty start to the day raised $918 for Make-A-Wish Foundation – bringing our overall total raised this year to more than $35,000, with wishes granted for seven children!
