Plexus Online provides a Statistical Process Control (SPC) subsystem. As part of the overall Quality Management System, the SPC module provides the ability to collect inspection data and to conduct in-process Statistical Process Control. It displays a variety of charts on screen, such as Histogram, Average and Range, Run Chart, Individuals Chart and more. It also handles Capability Studies, Dock Audits, Part Layouts, Final Inspection Sheets, PPAP Inspections, and Special user-defined checks. It performs all statistical calculations such as standard deviation, Cpk, and Ppk. The Plexus Online SPC subsystem draws its power from the fact that it is highly integrated with the rest of the quality and manufacturing system, including the Parts List, Process Routing, CAD Integration, Part Specifications, FMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow Charts, Process Instructions, Checksheets, Inspection Data Collection, Control Panel and Gage Control Modules. Plexus Online's SPC system is not designed to be a generalized or generic statistical analysis package. It is designed specifically to provide the requirements of an automotive or aerospace manufacturer that needs to implement SPC in the most beneficial, standards compliant, and cost effective way.
