Cloud ERP Solution Deployment Wins “Best in Cloud” Honor
TROY, Mich., December 4, 2012 – Plex Systems Inc., provider of Plex Online, Cloud ERP for manufacturers, today announced that its deployment at Inteva Products facilities in Germany has won the “Best in Cloud” award presented by COMPUTERWOCHE, a leading German computing magazine published by IDG Business Media. This award was presented in Munich recently.
The jury, consisting of industry analysts and enterprise resource planning (ERP) consultants, selected Plex Online as the winner in the category “Software as a Service – Private Cloud” for its extensive and successful implementation at Inteva Products LLC, a leading global supplier of automotive products. Inteva Products has more than 9,000 employees in 18 countries.

- Operational impacts – The company improved inventory management, streamlined purchase orders, improved its supply chain visibility, automated its tool tracking and more.
- Financial and resource impacts – The company exceeded its original financial goals, reducing IT costs significantly.
“This project was really impressive to me, as it uses a real-time integration of multiple participants in a supply chain, in a way an on-premise product could hardly achieve,” said Dr. Stefan Ried, principal analyst, Forrester Research, Inc., in the Oct. 26, 2012 blog post entitled “Best in Cloud Award Winner – Congratulations From Forrester.” Ried is responsible for platform strategies at Forrester Research and served as one of the judges for the competition. “This comes close to Forrester’s vision of business networks in the Cloud.”
