No Cooling Off for Plex: Another Great Year in the Books

  • News and Culture

2015 marked another great year for Plex. From a record-breaking user conference, to new customers, employees and honors, we have a lot of momentum to carry us into 2016. But before we get too far into the new year, here’s a look at our biggest 2015 milestones:

The Best Place to Work, Period

For seven consecutive years, we’ve been very fortunate to be recognized as one of the 100 Best and Brightest Places to Work in Metro Detroit. While we received this honor again in 2015, we were also named one of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work nationwide. This is an honor that we’re very proud of; our team works every day to make Plex the great place it is and to deliver amazing products and services to our customers. In 2015, we grew our team to more than 475 smart, innovative and dedicated people.

Plex Customers: Leaders and Innovators in Manufacturing

While our employee base grew in 2015, so did our customer base. We now proudly serve more than 450 discrete and process manufacturers that span industries that include transportation, electronics manufacturing, food and beverage, aerospace and defense, and precision metal forming. We’re excited to offer our cloud ERP solution to manufacturers and add these customers to the Plex family:

  • Olde Thompson is the largest manufacturer of salt and pepper mills in the world with a range of spice-related products from spice racks, peppermill and salt shakers to gourmet peppers and salts. In fact, every 18 seconds, someone buys an Olde Thompson pepper mill.
  • Tower Oil & Technology is a leading manufacturer in premium metalworking fluids offering advanced technology to a broad range of industries including automotive, appliance, defense, transportation, heavy equipment, building materials, medical and home products.
  • Motus Integrated Technologies, a leading manufacturer of high-performance headliners and unlit, illuminated and auxiliary coverage sunvisors for the global automotive market, selected Plex in 2014 and went live in four locations in 2015 including France, Germany, the U.S. and Mexico. Based on those successful deployments, the company recently chose Plex to run its newly acquired Leon Automotive Interiors business, including three facilities in Mexico.
Industry-Shaping Events

Our annual user conference, PowerPlex, broke records in 2015. We had more attendees, more tracks, more industry experts, and more customers to celebrate. With nearly 1,000 manufacturing technology professionals taking over Music City, we packed three days with networking, learning and, of course, some Nashville fun. This year’s PowerPlex will bring us back to our manufacturing roots in Detroit. Will you be there? Registration is now open.

We’re building off this great momentum from 2015 to make 2016 an even better year for our customers, employees and industry. Thank you for being a part of our great year – we can’t wait to see all that we can make with the Plex Manufacturing Cloud in 2016.
