TROY, Mich., March 12, 2013 – Aerospace and defense companies are under pressure to maximize speed to market, yet the engineer-to-order (ETO) business model and custom requirements associated with many of their products make it difficult to introduce efficiencies. Plex Systems Inc., provider of Plex Online, the leading cloud ERP for manufacturers, is pleased to announce that one of its customers, EaglePicher Technologies, will be tackling these very challenges at the upcoming AeroDef Manufacturing Conference, taking place March 19-21, 2013 at the Long Beach (CA) Conference Center.
David Ryan, director of IT for EaglePicher Technologies, a leading manufacturer of missile and satellite batteries , will present a session on “How to Achieve Automation and Efficiencies in a Contract Manufacturing Environment” on March 20, 2013 from 9:15-9:45 a.m. PT. Mr. Ryan will explain how to automate business processes in a contract manufacturing, or ETO, environment. Based on his experience at EaglePicher Technologies’ Aerospace & Defense Division, Mr. Ryan will describe how the team at EaglePicher improved business operations and how other manufacturers in the industry can do the same.
