Recent Synergistic Wins in Key Market Verticals

Since the acquisition of Plex by Rockwell Automation in September 2021, multiple wins in targeted market segments have proven the strong synergy generated by joint go-to-market strategy. Rockwell Automation recently announced the selection of Plex’s cloud-native Manufacturing Execution System (MES) by REE Automotive, an automotive technology leader and provider of electric vehicle (EV) platforms. REE Automotive is benefiting from using Rockwell Automation for its line-side controls and is now looking to create even greater efficiencies and savings through this MES deployment. Plex MES will underpin REE’s highly digitalized manufacturing operations in the UK and US as the company prepares for full-scale production in 2023.

In support of developing the manufacturing workforce of tomorrow, McMaster University, a top educational institution in Ontario, Canada, will implement Plex Production Monitoring alongside its Rockwell Automation products at the university’s Learning Factory, located within the W Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology. The Learning Factory is a world-class facility that simulates the factory of the future, with several manufacturing and post-processing stations for students to work with including metal additive manufacturing, CNC machine tooling, 3D printing, injection molding, laser cutting and electronics.

7th Annual State of Smart Manufacturing Report

Beyond its new products, customers, and analyst recognition, Plex recently launched its 7th State of Smart Manufacturing report. This valuable survey of global manufacturers found that an overwhelming majority (83%) believe smart manufacturing is a key to their organization’s future success. Plex continues to help solve for this need to automate and integrate from the shop floor to the top floor.
