The 9th Annual State of Smart Manufacturing Report surveyed over 1,500 manufacturers from countries across the world. This study reveals how global manufacturers are harnessing emergent technology to maximize workforce potential, reduce risk, increase quality, and deliver sustainable growth.
Key findings from this year’s report include:
- 94% of manufacturers expect to maintain or grow their workforce as a result of smart manufacturing technology adoption
- 95% of this year’s respondents are using or evaluating smart manufacturing technology – up from 84% in 2023
- 98% have an ESG/sustainability policy in place, with almost half of those having company-wide formalized policies
- 83% of manufacturers and industrial producers anticipate using GenAI in their operations in 2024
