Founded by factory workers to improve manufacturing, Plex maintains a singular focus on your plant’s success.
Our Promise to You
We built our reputation on happy customers, and our promise every day is to deliver solutions that make your business better, from automating processes on the shop floor to informing business decisions. Delivering Plex in the cloud means you’re always on the latest version of our solution and that our people are available to help you fix problems or achieve more. It means that our solutions connect to the tools you use, whether that’s a CNC machine or an iPhone. The cloud also means that every Plex customer is using the same system, forming the most powerful online community of manufacturing ERP users in the world.
Our Manufacturing Roots
Plex was born on the shop floor of a factory making axles, pinion gears and drive shafts. Our founders are the workers who kept the presses running and made sure parts matched customer specs. Frustrated with inaccurate inventory, machine breakdowns and even making the wrong parts, they built Plex to make the plant run better. The Plex Manufacturing Cloud now connects every manufacturing operation in the cloud for maximum efficiency, productivity and visibility, while supporting continuous innovation.
Starting with automotive metalforming in 2001, Plex rapidly expanded to support a wide range of discrete manufacturing operations across many industries. We later added process manufacturing capabilities, targeted specifically at food and beverage producers. Plex now supports nearly 615 organizations and 2,089 production facilities in 22 countries around the world.
“We built Plex walking between the shop floor and the boardroom, figuring out what we needed to track, measure and automate, then updating the software and iterating again. This model of continuous innovation still serves as the foundation of Plex solutions today.” JERRY FOSTER, PLEX CO-FOUNDER AND CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
Our Guiding Principles
Our aim is to provide a complete view of your manufacturing business — from suppliers and materials to people and machines and on to customers.
Plex is built to work in your manufacturing environment, so we make sure it’s easy to use and available on any device — whether a laptop, a CNC machine or a scanner for a hi-lo operator.
Because manufacturing is a world of constant change, we took Plex into the cloud to support continuous innovation and dynamic operations.
We believe manufacturing is a team effort, so our subscriptions support unlimited users to help ensure everyone from the shop floor to the top floor is connected.
