Plex Employees Make Handmade Valentines for Michigan Children in the Hospital

  • News and Culture

In 2017, a few Plex employees got together to respond to a call for handmade Valentine’s Day cards for children in the hospital. This has been a huge hit both for hospital staff and of course, the children receiving them. It is part of a local effort that started in 2012 and Plex was invited to add to its success last year.

This tradition continues today as Plex employees have been hard at work pouring their creativity and hearts into handmade cards. We’re sure these works of art will be bringing lots of smiles to children in hospitals across Michigan this year.

This year Plex employees made 433 cards and over 5,000 cards were collected from other groups to be delivered to Children’s Hospital of Michigan, St. John Providence Detroit, Royal Oak Beaumont, and the Center for Exceptional Families in Dearborn.

Special thanks to Charla Fleming, Senior Software Quality Analyst, for spearheading this effort over the past two years at Plex, and for her time in delivering the boxes full of joy to Children’s Hospital.

Our employees continue to inspire me with their dedication to the communities we live and work in each day.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
